Emmanuel Addy

Managing Director

Emmanuel is a business leader, entrepreneur and investor with a strong track record spanning technology, mining, EPC, and EPCF projects — with a particular focus on attracting financing for the complicated deals that underpin cross-border trade and project execution in emerging and resource-rich markets.

A UK-qualified solicitor, Emmanuel brings deep expertise in the regulatory and contractual frameworks of medium to large-scale projects — from concession agreements and project financing to procurement structures and project delivery contracts across complex jurisdictions.

As an entrepreneur and tech investor, Emmanuel has a keen focus on the financial rails that enable cross-border commerce in resource rich countries, especially out of Africa. He has backed and built ventures in cross-border payment platforms, currency swap mechanisms and foreign exchange contract solutions — areas of critical importance in developing markets where multi-currency exposure, contractor payment flows and commodity-linked financial instruments are central to project viability and risk management.

He has worked extensively with governments, development finance institutions and multinational corporates to facilitate capital flows and investment into resource and infrastructure projects across Africa and beyond. His experience includes high-level engagements with governments in Ghana, South Africa and India — key jurisdictions for mining activity and infrastructure development — as well as with major corporates including Visa, Barclays Africa and Unilever, navigating project-level risk and financial systems in frontier and emerging markets.

Emmanuel has led programmes for the World Bank and DFID with a focus on financial systems, and investment facilitation, and has worked alongside institutions such as the Commonwealth Secretariat on strategic economic initiatives. This gives him a strong understanding of the sovereign, regulatory and financing environments that shape mining licencing, EPC procurement and project bankability.
